🎉 Felicidades to this week’s Author Spotlight, Caglar Erteber! In Erteber’s article “La expansión del espacio urbano y la deshumanización en Buenos Aires a través de la mirada fílmica en Pizza, birra, faso (1998) y Medianeras (2011)” the author presents an insightful examination of several works which combine textual and filmic elements, with several theoretical frameworks, including urban studies, biopolitics, and necropolitics to explore the intertwining and interconnectedness of social and urban processes. He does this through analyzing the book Eugenics in the Garden: Transatlantic Architecture and the Crafting of Modernity (2018) and two films Pizza, birra, faso (1998) and Medianeras (2011). This is a creative, thoughtful, and very well-written piece!
