Jorge Vargas-Mutizabal is a Ph.D. student in Spanish Second Language Acquisition at Rutgers University. He graduated with a master’s degree in Language Pedagogy in 2022 from the University of Utah. As a master’s student, he focused his research on the Lexical Aspect Hypothesis using corpus analysis. Jorge is excited to be sharing his first research paper in Hispanic Linguistics, featured in the Spanish & Portuguese Review. As a doctoral student, he is involved in L2 language processing using eye-tracking. He expects to be sharing more of his scholarly work in the future.
