Omar Osorio-Amoretti holds a B.A. and an M.A. in literature and history respectively from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, in Venezuela. He is currently a Ph.D. student in the Literature, Cultures, and Languages program at the University of Connecticut. He focuses on Spanish-American literature and culture, with a particular interest in Diaspora and testimonio written in the Caribbean. His book, José Rafael Pocaterra y la escritura de la historia, was published in Venezuela by Editorial Equinoccio in 2018.
