đ ParabĂ©ns to this week’s author spotlight, Matilde Barrote Silva!

In 2021 Matilde defended her thesis entitled âAspects of naturalism in contemporary European narratives: En la Orilla by Rafael Chirbes and SĂ©rotonine by Michel Houellebecqâ and participated in EJICOMP (https://buff.ly/3uTgmif) with a presentation on this subject. Matilde’s main interest lies within the transversal perspective that an area like comparative studies offers, and the possibility to establish connections between objects derived from different art forms and/or cultural contexts. Within this area Matilde is particularly interested in comparative literature, more particularly in the relation between science and literature and in the performative and spatial aspects of text, whether it is through a song, a novel, a movie or a photograph.
đ Congratulations on a great article, Matilde!
