Laura’s piece “Rooms of Their Own: Virginia Woolf, Private Space, and Metaliterature in Martín Gaite’s Visión de Nueva York” is an essay framed in feminist geography and metaliterary studies, analyzing how the Spanish author Carmen Martín Gaite uses the construction of the private space to support the development of the literary “I”.
Laura is a graduate student in Spanish at Boston University. Her research interests include modernist and surrealist poetry, gender and sexuality studies, queer theory, and the Generation of ‘27.
