For our final #SPRAuthorSpotlight of #SPRVol5, we would like to encourage you to read Angelica Amezcua’s article titled “Me siento orgullosa de hablar mi lenguaje, mi español: an analysis of Spanish Language Maintenance in a HL classroom.” Amezcua conducted the study with seventeen students enrolled in a Spanish Heritage Language course with the objective to explore the pedagogical approach in the classroom. The study provides valuable information about how a heritage course can promote students’ motivation to maintain their HL through the implementation of pedagogical strategies that connect students with their local communities and families. Amezcua is a PhD Candidate at Arizona State University. ¡Felicidades, Angelica!
