In addition to publishing graduate student work, Spanish and Portuguese Review (SPR is primarily staffed by graduate students in roles such as peer reviewers, associate editors, and managing editors. In this video, Dr. Megan Myers shares how her own experiences as a graduate student contributor to SPR helped prepare her for journal editing as a faculty member. She also describes how the process of editorial mentorship in SPR gives graduate students the opportunity to learn new skills, contribute a fresh perspective, and move up in the organization.
We are always looking for new volunteers for a range of duties at SPR. If you are interested in being a part, learn more here or you can leave a comment here or on YouTube or send an email to spr@aatsp.org.
