📣 Attention graduate students who are interested in gaining copyediting experience!

Spanish and Portuguese Review is hosting the second training in our series of graduate student academic journal trainings. This training focuses specifically on copyediting.

When: Tuesday, August 9th, 2022

Time: 12pm EDT/11am CDT/9am PDT

Where: via Zoom | Please register in advance here.

At this training you will:

• Familiarize yourself with SPR‘s copyediting process
• Discuss the purpose of copyediting
• Discuss the role of Associate Editor for copyediting at SPR
• Learn best practices for copyediting
• Learn how to address common grammar and style errors

This event will be co-hosted by SPR Managing Editor of Copyediting, Doaa Serag Mohamed, and SPR Senior Managing Editor, Laura Colaneri.

Everyone is encouraged to attend this training! Whether you have previously worked for SPR or not, this training is for you. If you have already served as an Associate Editor, this training will be a great refresher and reintroduction to the process. Additionally, if you have no background in editing, this is a great way to learn.

If you are not able to attend the event, but are still interested in learning more and volunteering as an Associate Editor of Copyediting, the training will be recorded and shared here and on our social media.

Access the recording of the training here.
