📣 Calling all graduate students interested in gaining copyediting experience!
Spanish and Portuguese Review (SPR) is excited to announce that we are hosting a Copyediting Training for those interested in volunteering as an Associate Editor or for those who simply want to learn about the process and its benefits. This hands-on training is designed to provide you with practical experience and interactive learning opportunities.

During The Training You Will:
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the essential rope of copyediting
- Familiarize yourself with the SPR‘s copyediting process
- Discuss the purpose of copyediting
- Discuss the role of Associate Editor for Copyediting at SPR
- Learn best practices for copyediting
- Learn how to address common grammar and style errors
Leading the training will be Doaa Serag, SPR‘s Managing Editor of Copyediting, and SPR‘s Senior Managing Editor, Lillian Jones.
Everyone is encouraged to attend this training! We welcome all interested graduate students to attend this training, regardless of prior experience with SPR. Whether you are an aspiring Associate Editor seeking a refresher or if you have no editing background, but a keen interest in learning, this interactive training is designed for you.
If you are not able to attend the event, but are still interested in learning more and volunteering as an Associate Editor of Copyediting, the training will be recorded and shared here and on our social media.
